This is how it all began. Self published under the company name 'Mathew & Sons Ltd' in 2005 The Highfield Mole had a large print run helped along by the sale of a house to find necessary funds.
The print run included 2000 paperbacks and 500 hardbacks.

Eighty of the hardbacks were made into the Remarque Series at the request of dealers. This series included signatures of both the authors, a one-off drawing by Brian Williams, and an inscription by Roderick Gordon. Examples of the Remarque Series can be found on the Matthew & Sons Web site

Following a review in the Book and Magazine Collector for May 2005 all 500 hardbacks sold out within a single day.

The Movie Rights have now been sold to Relativity Media in the US for around $1Million.
